Epic Lies (Trudy Stiles)

DAX ANDERSON has always been the one to keep it all together.

~ His family~
~ His friends~
~ His band~

His heart is huge, but guarded. He’s the best friend. The protector. The shoulder to cry on. But he’s never been able to protect his own heart or himself. Lies from his not-so-distant past have destroyed his outlook on love – until he meets her.

GISELLE ANDREWS is confident and happy, but cautious. She’s learned to overcome many obstacles despite her past. She’s fiercely loyal and loves beyond measure. When she’s reminded of her past and the pain that she lived through, will her perfect world begin to crumble?

What connects Dax and Giselle?
And will EPIC LIES destroy their future?

EPIC LIES is the second book in the EPIC FAIL series and can be read as a standalone novel.

This series is a spinoff of the FOREVER FAMILY series.

Trudy has went above and beyond again. I can honestly say that I have never met a Trudy Stiles book that I have not liked. Wait not liked..loved.

My main interest in Trudy is her writing. It’s exceptional. It’s a huge breath of fresh air and I can always count on her to get me out of whatever book slump I might be in. It’s written in present and past tense which is some of my favorite type of writing. Even some of my preferred.

And that prologue…ugh. Just stab my heart right off the bat why don’t ya, Trudy?

Back to the writing: Trudy constructs words and sentences that don’t just flow together but they are so strategic and emotionally packed you feel them all the way through your read.

The characters were solid and dynamic. Dax was a very strong hero, in my opinion. And we don’t see those very often. Trudy made it to where Giselle has went through some things that you don’t feel pity for her you empathize with her. You feel what she feels and you endeavor what she endeavors.

I feel like it’s completely safe for me to say that if you are in need of good book or out of your book slump you don’t have to just pick this one up. Pick up any of Trudy’s books. Her gift will soon make you feel complete.
